MAKE A DIFFERENCE
The Care Service is an organization that thrives due to the support of our community, which is demonstrated by nearly 100,000 hours of volunteer assistance received each year both internally and from the greater community, including through collaboration with many churches across multiple religions. In addition to volunteer assistance, the Care Service would not be able to deliver our programs and services to thousands without the generous monetary gifts from individuals, businesses, churches, civic groups and other organizations. By partnering with the Care Service, you are providing hope to the many individuals and families in crisis and great need in our area. Look below to find a way to help that's right for you.
Corporate Giving and Matching Funds
Did you know that many employers will match the donation you make to charitable organizations? Participation in your company’s Matching Gift Program can double the value of your gift to the Care Service.
They may even have a corporate giving program, for which we can apply for grants to fund our programs.
Why not ask? Most corporations look for ways to give back to their communities, so they may welcome your suggestion to add the Care Service to their list of charities. We are local and we serve those here in our local communities. If your employer would like to learn more about us, call and we can help. (636) 441-1302, ext. 263.
Here are some examples of employers who may match your gift or offer another corporate giving program for which the Care Service qualifies:

Emergency Response Fund
More than 10 inches of rain fell on our area over three days starting right after Christmas. At least 15 people in Missouri were killed due to the flooding. Thousands that were forced to leave their homes are only now able to return and begin the clean-up process – if their homes were still standing.
Beginning last Saturday through this week, several Multi-Agency Recourses Centers (MARCs) will be set up in locations across our region. Those that were impacted by the flood can come to have their needs assessed and then access services.
Sts. Joachim & Ann Care Service is a first responder.
Executive Director Miriam Mahan lamented that many who attended the MARC in Franklin County this last weekend were disappointed. “One by one they were told that they had no money to help. In the meantime, the Care Service is trying to let the world know about the devastating struggles of those that were affected.”
Sts. Joachim & Ann Care Service has received many calls for assistance. If you wish to help those affected in our local area, tax deductable donations can be made through the donate button on this page:
Other Ways to Help...
Financial contributions are important for client assistance and for daily operations which keep our programs running, and enable us to to deliver the highest level of services to the most people possible.
There are lots of ways your contributions help us to deliver services to our clients. While we receive grants and other funds for direct services to our clients, operational funds and funds for other critical needs or emergencies are more difficult to come by. While you can specify if you would like to donate to a particular program, unrestricted donations provide us with more flexibility to serve clients by addressing the greatest immediate needs regardless of the source of funding. Whether you make an unrestricted contribution or specify a restricted use, we are grateful for your support. To make a donation via PayPal, click on one of the choices below. Over the past 32 years, the Care Service has built strong ties with the community and relies heavily on this collaboration to carry out our mission. In addition to monetary support and in-kind contributions, we regularly receive volunteer service from local businesses, churches, schools, health providers, civic organizations and individuals and families in the community. Our volunteers alone dedicate over 100,000 hours of their time each year.
We also partner with many agencies and community resources to fill the gaps of service that are necessary to help clients reach sustainability. Without the efforts of the entire community, we would not be able to successfully assist thousands each year with services to help them overcome their crises.
Not only do these partnerships bring people together and contribute to the overall health of our local communities by preventing homelessness today, they also impact systemic change for the future.
